Wedding videographers mint money by making use of the skill they have. But do all have the same skill sets is the question! A person who has got a good video camera becomes a videographer no matter if he has got the skill to do it or not. My friend's (who is settled in New York), wedding happened very recently and as usual we had a wedding video cameraman who covered the whole event. The video was not outstanding it was a very normal one, but he charged around Rs.. 20,000 for the work he did! more than doing it in the best possible way with a lot of love and passion for the work, his interest in making money was very much evident in his work. A good wedding videographer should be using optimum use of the time available to him, by covering more people in it, rather than using stereotypical graphics he should be using unique ones, and should also seek the aid of internet to get more globally accepted techniques in his video. He should justify for the money he charge for each work he does. A videographer should necessarily be good at it. Ideally he should be an artist with some creative skills. Just because One has a beautiful camera it does not make him the best person to use it. He should have some skills in him to use it professionally, he should at least hire someone who has the traits to do it in a professional way. All the major ceremonies like cake cutting, ring exchange, etc.. should be covered in a very creative way. A wedding videographer should also understand that more than a business it is an art wherein he needs to do it in a beautiful way and everything else will follow!
